It's a New Year, time to make those New Year's resolutions—lose weight, read more, take a cooking class, design more energy efficient pumping systems. Using and designing more efficient pumps seems to be a resolution that many end users, designers and operators plan to keep in 2012. Energy efficiency has been an important goal for a number of years, but the push is increasing after a year under the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.
What are some other resolutions that you will be making this year? Do you need more technicians to replace those whose are retiring? Will you implement a predictive/preventive maintenance program? Do you need to replace/repair pumps, piping and other equipment that have been in place for decades? Go to our poll, and let us know what your priorities are for 2012. You can also email your resolutions to me at lditoro@cahabamedia.com. Happy New Year!
