BOULDER, Colo. (May 17, 2013) – FreeWave Technologies, manufacturer of spread spectrum and licensed radios for critical data transmission, announced the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters at 5395 Pearl Parkway (Suite 100) in Boulder. The new space accommodates a much larger manufacturing facility to support new and expanding business, a state-of-the art product testing center, and increased space for the continued growth of its employee base. The facility is a spacious 45,000 square feet – an 80 percent increase in size from its previous headquarters’ size of 25,000 square feet. Today, the company celebrates this milestone with an exclusive grand opening celebration held for employees and invited customers, partners and local dignitaries.
“The new facility will allow us to serve our customers more efficiently and with expanded capabilities,” explained Ashish Sharma, chief marketing officer at FreeWave Technologies. “We have always been a proponent of keeping our company operations centralized here in Boulder. The number of employees has close to tripled over the past eight years and we’ve outgrown our previous headquarters. We found a great building in our home city that can support our continued fast-paced expansion.”
The company will continue hiring and expanding to meet the increased customer demand for advanced wireless M2M solutions. Working at FreeWave comes with both high expectations and high rewards. Since 1995, FreeWave has been sharing its collective success with employees not only through its bonus payouts, but also through a very rich compensation program, which includes time off for community service, a superior retirement plan unmatched in its industry, reimbursement for health programs and a three-week sabbatical for 10-year employees.
FreeWave continues to experience increasing demand in its key markets including oil and gas, government and defense, and utilities. Each of these vertical markets, combined with FreeWave’s continued geographical expansion across the globe, will enable it to continue steady growth in the future, Sharma says.
As an integrated piece of the Boulder community, FreeWave is dedicated to becoming a social asset. The company has partnered with the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless to serve and prepare meals and has sponsored its Adopt a Night program. It also participated in The Children’s Hospital Blood Drive. Through these existing partnerships, employees are given an opportunity to participate in events and activities that promote goodwill for the local community. With the facility relocation and continued hiring, FreeWave will continue building its social partnerships by expanding its focus on community endeavors and encouraging employee participation.
“Every employee at FreeWave makes a difference and this move is testament to that,” Sharma said. “We are dedicated to offering our customers not only industry-leading wireless solutions, but the best experience possible. That means the highest level of customer service, quality products and continued innovation.”
