ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The Water Environment Federation (WEF) announces the members of its 2011-2012 Board of Trustees. The members were confirmed by WEF's House of Delegates during WEFTEC® 2011—WEF's 84th Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference—last week in Los Angeles, Calif.
During a ceremony on Tuesday, October 18, the WEF “gavel of leadership” was passed from President Jeanette Brown (Stamford, Conn.) to incoming President Matt Bond, an Associate Vice President of Black & Veatch, a global engineering, consulting, and construction company in Kansas City, MO. President Bond will work over the coming months to finalize and implement a new strategic plan for WEF that includes increased emphasis on leadership and innovation.
In addition to President Bond, the 2011-2012 Board of Trustees includes: Immediate Past President Brown, President-Elect Cordell Samuels (Pickering, Ontario, Canada), Vice President Sandra Ralston (Charleston, S.C.), Treasurer Chris Browning (Canton, Ga.), Secretary and Executive Director Jeff Eger (Alexandria, Va.), Trustees Charles Bott (Hampton Roads, Va.), Paul Bowen (Atlanta, Ga.), Fran Burlingham (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Kartik Chandran (New York, N.Y.), Scott Cummings (Auburn, Ala.), John Hart (Saco, Maine), Terry Krause (Chicago, Ill.), Garry Macdonald (Auckland, New Zealand), Karen Pallansch (Alexandria, Va.), Paul Schuler (Portland, Ore.), Scott Trotter (Saint Charles, Ill.), and Rick Warner (Reno, Nev.).
WEFTEC is recognized as the world's largest annual water quality event and provides the latest technologies and services for water environment preservation, restoration, and sustainability. WEFTEC 2011 was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, October 15-19.
