OPW Fluid Transfer Group (OPWFTG), A Dover Company and the provider of solutions for the handling of hazardous liquids, announced that it has named Richard Wei its Vice President – Asia/Pacific. Mr. Wei assumed his new responsibilities effective January 1, 2012, and reports directly to OPWFTG President, Tim Warning. Mr. Wei has full responsibility for OPWFTG’s operations in Suzhou, China, and Chennai, India, as well as full sales and marketing responsibilities for the Asia/Pacific Region. He is located in the Dover Corporation Shanghai regional headquarters.
“Richard brings solid experience and a strong track record in leading various growth businesses, alliances, joint ventures, and acquisitions,” said Warning. “In his new role, Richard is responsible for achieving our aggressive revenue and earnings targets for the Asia/Pacific region.”
OPWFTG is comprised of operating companies — each dedicated to designing, manufacturing and distributing world class solutions that assist in the safe and efficient handling of hazardous bulk products. The Group is comprised of two business units: OPWFTG Global Transportation Business Unit and OPWFTG Global Chemical & Industrial Business Unit. Mr. Wei earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Australia. He is a proven global business leader with 20 years of experience. Mr. Wei is multilingual and fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Most recently, as General Manager, he contributed to the General Electric Intelligent Platform. Prior to that, he contributed to the success of Emerson Electric for fourteen years as a Business Director and Operations Manager.
