BALTIMORE (Dec. 18, 2012) – As of Feb. 1, 2013, Christian Overgaard is appointed President of Danfoss China, succeeding Thomas Koniordos, who will relocate to Europe and take over as Senior Vice President of Danfoss Industrial Automation.
Christian Overgaard will be responsible for the overall operation for Danfoss China and continues to head the Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Controls activities in China.
Christian Overgaard has for the past year successfully headed the Danfoss Heat Exchanger Business for refrigeration and air-conditioning applications. He has extensive knowledge of Chinese business culture, after spending 10 years on different executive positions in China, Korea and Japan.
Before joining Danfoss, Christian Overgaard worked as Vice President for Asia Pacific Middle East & Africa at Chr. Hansen. He has also worked for Novozymes A/S and McKinsey & Company Inc. in his previous career.
Christian Overgaard is Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China, Shanghai. He holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from The Technical University of Denmark and an MBA from INSEAD.
