GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 15, 2013) – Des-Case Corporation added a fourth lubrication consultant to its team of experts. Jim Frisbie, who will become an associate technical consultant, joined Des-Case from CCECO Lab & Filtration.
"The demand for our professional lubrication and consultation services over the last six months has grown exponentially as we've been able to help scores of industrial companies develop stronger lubrication and reliability programs," said Mark Barnes, vice president, Des-Case Reliability Services. "We're excited about that growth, as well as having Jim join us and broaden what we can do for our customers. He has a strong background in practical contamination control solutions across a broad range of industries and will be a great addition to our team."
Frisbie joins Barnes and three others —Jason Kopschinsky, senior technical consultant and director of strategic services; Jarrod Potteiger, senior technical consultant and manager of training services; and Trigg Minnick, technical consultant and senior instructor—on the Lubrication Transformation Services team. Together, the group has more than 75 years of contamination control experience.
Most recently, Frisbie was operations manager with CCECO Lab & Filtration, a specialist in oil analysis and contamination control solutions. He worked at the company for eight years, for the last three helping coordinate multiple R&D efforts with OEMs and end users, primarily focused on hydraulic and diesel engine applications. He holds ICML MLT1 certification and Machinery Failure Analysis certification through Pape Machinery.
Eddy Bock, a 20-year veteran of the automotive industry, will help Des-Case further establish strategic partnerships and long-term supply and service relationships in key markets outside the United States. He joins the contamination control company from Contech Castings.
"Eddy's extensive experience in manufacturing and building business internationally for the companies where he has worked will be invaluable to Des-Case as we continue to grow," said Bill Lyons, vice president, sales and business development. "As proven by his past successes, he strongly understands the needs of his customers—especially OEMs and global distributors—and the international sales process. We're looking forward to him bringing those skills to help us better identify, build and nurture new international customers."
At Contech, a company that manufactures lightweight die cast components for the automotive market, Bock spent six years as senior sales account manager in charge of marketing the company's products to Japanese, German and American OEMs and Tier I customers. Before that, he rose through the ranks of Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems over thirteen years to become manager of sales and customer support. Sumitomo is a leading supplier of electrical distribution systems, components and electronics to the automotive industry.
Bock also spent three years in Japan as a marketing director and English language instructor for the California Language Institute and has worked for United Parcel Service in sales and customer service. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Studies, with a concentration on Asia, from West Virginia University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Western Kentucky University. Additionally, Bock speaks fluent Japanese.
