MANSFIELD, Ohio (March 1, 2013) – The Gorman-Rupp Company has added Mike Retter to the position of Southeast District Manager - Engineered Systems for the Gorman Rupp Company, Mansfield Division. Also, the company adds Joe Price to the position of Western District Manager - Engineered Systems for the Gorman Rupp Company, Mansfield Division.
In this position, Retter will serve as the manager for the Southeast Municipal Market Territory. He will cover the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Southern Ohio, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Retter brings with him 19 years of experience in the municipal and utility contractor pump market. Since 1993 Retter has been employed by ITT/Xylem Flygt as a Direct Salesman, District Manager and Branch Manager in the cities of Atlanta, Chicago and Charlotte. Mike received his Bachelors of Business in Marketing and Masters of Business Administration in Management from Georgia State University. Retter's educational background and work experience will make a significant contribution and impact with our Southeastern U.S. customers as we grow sales of our Engineered Packaged Stations and Sewage Pumps in the Municipal Market.
Retter resides in Fort Mill, S.C., with his wife Judy and their three sons; Nick, Jake and Travis. Mike and Judy also have two children living and going to school in Chicago, IL; Alex and Meghan, as well as a daughter in law and granddaughter, Rae and Scout.
In this position, Price will serve as the manager for the Western Municipal Market Territory. He will cover the states of: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Alaska & Hawaii.
Price brings with him 17 years of experience in application sales for packaged pump systems, flow control and various filtration & separation technologies. Since 1995 Price has held sales management positions with companies providing engineered solutions to the municipal, utility, oil & gas, power generation and mining markets. Price studied for his Bachelors of Business Economics at Seattle University. Price’s educational background and work experience will make a significant contribution and impact with our Western U.S. customers as we grow sales of our Engineered Packaged Stations for water and waste water applications in the Municipal Market.
Price resides in Phoenix, Ariz., with his wife Michelle and their two daughters Hayden and Morgan.
