SENECA FALLS, N.Y. (March 06, 2013) - ITT Corporation announced that its flagship Goulds Pumps brand is continuing its partnership with the international Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Program, supported by the American Heart Association (AHA) and its global partners, by making a $25,000 donation to provide hands-only CPR training around the world.

The donation will be made as part of the company's second annual Pump Appreciation Day on April 9 - a celebration of pumps as the heart of industry - on behalf of ITT employees, and 2013 Heart of Industry Award and Pulse of Industry Honor Roll award winners. This year, the Goulds Pumps gift will fund on-site training sessions at ITT's Goulds Pumps brand distributor and customer locations around the world. The training sessions will be open to employees and community members.

"We're proud of our growing partnership with the ECC, and look forward to supporting this important training initiative that will help save lives around the world," said Robert J. Pagano Jr., president of the ITT Industrial Process business, which manufactures and sells Goulds Pumps.

The company's support of global heart health began last April with a gift to the ECC at the inaugural Pump Appreciation Day.

Initiatives leading up to and during this year's Pump Appreciation Day include:

  • Pulse of Industry Honor Roll - This list identifies pump-industry professionals for outstanding achievement in improving pump efficiency, providing exceptional maintenance, solving engineering or manufacturing challenges, or exceeding expectations to keep equipment running.

  • Photofest - Goulds Pumps has invited customers, distributors and employees to submit photos about working together, powering industry and spanning the globe.
