Torishima Purchases 50 Percent of FEDCO

WORCHESTER, Mass. (June 24, 2013) – Torishima Pump Mfg. Co Ltd of Japan has acquired a 50 percent stake in Fluid Equipment Development Company (FEDCO), the U.S. manufacturer of high- and low-pressure pumps and energy-recovery equipment for desalination.

Torishima currently designs and manufactures centrifugal pumps and pumping systems for a variety of applications with installations throughout the world. FEDCO, based in Monroe, Mich. The transaction was completed on June 6, 2013.
