HELSINKI (Dec. 3, 2013) – The global AC drives manufacturer Vacon expands its operations in Brazil and Latin America, and on account of this, Vacon's sales office in Brazil is moving to new premises in São Paulo. The inauguration of the premises took place 2 December 2013. "Vacon's business has developed favorably in Brazil and in Latin America, and we see good prospects for growth in this region. In accordance of Vacon's newly published new strategy, to secure growth, Brazil is one of the target countries where we will invest. Our sales office in Brazil allows us to increase our competitive edge in the whole of Latin America, build our own competence in the region and differentiate from the competitors. At the same time, we will bring added value to our customers and prepare the ground for our high-power AC drives strategy," says Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Market Operations at Vacon. "Vacon's office in São Paulo is moving to new larger premises where we will have more space to grow and give support to our regional customers in Brazil and other Latin American countries. We are expanding our service center facilities and we have a new training center. Furthermore, we have the possibility to start local cabinet assembly in Brazil. This is a remarkable step forward because this allows us to better serve our customers in the oil & gas, marine and offshore and renewable energy production business," says Claudio Luis Baccarelli, Vacon's Managing Director in Brazil.
