HOUSTON (March 25, 2014) – Waukesha-Pearce Industries (WPI) has been named a U.S.-based distributor for GE Transportation, a division of General Electric Company (GE). Already an approved GE partner, WPI will collaborate with GE Transportation’s Stationary Power division, selling and packaging V250 and dV228 diesel engines. “We are honored to be awarded this new distributor partnership with GE Transportation,” said Fred Stow, Director of Sales, WPI. “This move will allow us to build upon our years of experience in the engine marketplace, leveraging our packaging capabilities and strengthening our relationships with our existing customers in the EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) industry by providing them with additional value and solutions in the power generation segment.” “With a heavy concentration of customers—and a long history of cultivating important business relationships in the Houston area—Waukesha-Pearce Industries is a natural fit as an approved distributor for GE Transportation engines,” said Dave Zimmerman, Global Sales Leader at GE Transportation. GE Transportation, a unit of GE, builds equipment that moves the rail, mining and marine industries. WPI provides equipment and service solutions across a multitude of applications.
