ValvTechnologies, Inc. Names Tony Majka Director of Engineering

HOUSTON (March 23, 2015) – ValvTechnologies, Inc., the global designer and manufacturer of zero-leakage severe service isolation valve solutions, has named Tony Majka director of engineering, announced company President Kevin Hunt. Based in Houston, Majka will have global management responsibility for all ValvTechnologies’ Engineering groups and activities worldwide. He will lead research and development, product development and design, manufacturing, production and application engineering, as well as spearheading engineering process continuous improvement and product standardization programs. Majka’s appointment serves to integrate the engineering value stream between the sales order and operations so ValvTechnologies can better serve its customers.

With more than 15 years in product engineering and a solid machine tool background, Majka brings strong technical and leadership skills and experience to the Company. Prior to joining ValvTechnologies, Majka served as manager of Valve Product Engineering and Research and Development for Flowserve Corporation in Cookeville, Tennessee where his responsibilities included oversight of the India engineering design center. His previous roles with Flowserve included serving as supervisor of both its Engineering Lab and Engineering Services Group, and as a senior product engineer and product engineer earlier in his career. Majka began his engineering career with Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Majka graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and is currently studying to complete his MBA from Tennessee Technological University. “I am excited to welcome Tony to the ValvTechnologies global leadership team,” said Kevin Hunt, president of ValvTechnologies. “He brings to us a strong valve product development background and excellent engineering management capabilities.
