PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Feb. 25, 2016) – The Hydraulic Institute has named Paul Ruzicka its 2015 Member of the Year. Ruzicka is global COE residential, commercial wastewater and chief engineer at Xylem Inc. - Applied Water Systems . The award was conferred to Ruzicka at the Hydraulic Institute’s 2016 Annual conference held recently in Tucson, Arizona. The HI Board of Directors selected Ruzicka for his superior commitment to the Hydraulic Institute in both leading and actively participating in numerous HI committees in the advancement of the Institute’s technical work as well as in guiding young engineers within the Institute’s extensive technical organization. He has held leadership positions on more than 10 technical and education committees over the past two years, and in 2015, he supported the industry by serving as HI’s technical representative at DOE’s public hearing regarding the proposed energy conservation standard for pumps. He currently holds leadership positions as:

  • Chair of (ANSI/HI 11.6) Rotodynamic Submersible Pump Test
  • Co-Chair of (HI 40.6 DOE) Methods for Rotodynamic Pump Efficiency Testing
  • Co-Chair of (ANSI/HI 14.4) - Rotodynamic Pump IOM
  • Co-Chair of DOE Final Rule Review Committee
  • Co-Chair of DOE Regulation Education Committee
  • Vice-chair of (ANSI/HI 14.3) - Rotodynamic Pump Design & Application
