ST. MICHAEL, Minn. (Feb. 24, 2016) – U.S. Water has launched the SMART Care for Membranes Service Program, which provides proper management and monitoring of membrane systems, reducing the risks of production downtime due to insufficient quality or quantity of water being produced. Each SMART Care for Membranes program is tailored to meet a plant’s specific production needs, combining an array of available consumables and services from U.S. Water’s product line of membrane related offerings. SMART Care Analytics retrieves and analyzes data from the membrane system and in turn provides real-time assessment of operations, predictive analysis of key performance indicators and notifications of developing upset conditions. The analytical solution examines consumable, water and energy usage in addition to the required ASTM “normalized” conditions for membrane systems. SMART Care Analytics allows the operations team to plan and schedule corrective actions as conditions develop on the membrane systems. This eliminates unnecessary manpower and consumables while mitigating risk to production or product quality. Results of the SMART Care program are reviewed regularly with U.S. Water’s team of engineers and representatives to manage improvements to operations. SMART Care for Membranes uncovers opportunities for projects to increase efficiencies, improve quality or decrease total cost of operation. Projects can be delivered with the precise components to minimize investment. “U.S. Water is committed to improving plant efficiency. Our integrated solutions approach combines the best equipment, engineering services and sustainable chemistry to resolve the ‘root cause’ of a plant’s problem and improve its overall efficiency. SMART Care for Membranes combines web-based software, on-site analytical services, regulatory compliance services and safety enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce plant costs,“ said LaMarr Barnes, U.S. Water’s senior executive vice president of marketing and strategy.
