SENDENHORST, Germany (Dec. 21, 2016)—As of Jan. 1, 2017, IGEL Electric will be relocating from Sendenhorst to the metropolis of Westphalia, Dortmund, according to a statement from the company. The company, a system integrator for electronic drive technology, will be moving into modern office suites in the suburb of Barop in Dortmund. The move will allow IGEL to further improve customer relationship, and to benefit from the proximity to the Faculty for Electrical Engineering at the Dortmund Technical University, according to the company. “Here we can expand and enhance our know-how ideally in order to continue developing our innovative solutions in the field of drive technology,” said Michael Kleiböhmer, managing director of IGEL Electric. “We can reach our customers more quickly, and we also provide attractive career opportunities for recent graduates.” In addition to the head office in Dortmund, IGEL maintains a branch office in Dubai. In terms of IGEL’s international business, the new location, street address Hauert 14a, is ideally located between the A40 and A45 highways, the company said. The main railway station and the airports in Dortmund and Dusseldorf are nearby. Because of these location-related factors, IGEL will be able to improve its customer relationship on a personal level, the company said, noting that its drive technology specialists will be able to reach customers more quickly and react more flexibly to their demands. In addition, the Faculty for Electrical Engineering at the Dortmund Technical University is located near the new IGEL headquarters. This location-related advantage will provide the soft starter technology producer with more opportunities to develop direct contact with young and experienced experts in order to continually develop energy- and cost-saving solutions in the field of electronic drive technology, according to the company.
