Weir Appoints New Chief People Officer

GLASGOW, Scotland (March 8, 2017)—Weir announced the appointment of Rosemary McGinness to its Group Executive as Chief People Officer (CPO). She will succeed current CPO Pauline Lafferty, who will leave Weir after six years’ service in the summer.

McGinness will join Weir in the summer from international spirits company William Grant & Sons, where she has been global human resources director for the past 12 years. Her previous roles include senior vice president, human resources, of Browne Business Solutions in the U.S. and human resources director of William Lea in London. She is an Advisory Board Member to the School for CEO’s and an Advisory Board Member of the University of Strathclyde Business School. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
