Parsippany, NJ (March 27, 2017) – Pump Systems Matter (PSM), a global source for pump system training and education, bestowed its prestigious Leadership Award to Ray Hardee, co-founder and chief engineer of Engineered Software, Inc., at the Hydraulic Institute (HI) Annual Conference and Centennial Gala recently held at the JW Marriott – Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. This award recognizes outstanding HI members who made lifetime achievements to the advancement of pumps and pumping systems, energy efficiency, reliability and performance. With nearly 50 years of experience in pump system analysis and software development, Ray Hardee has held many roles in engineering consultation, product marketing as well as training. Before expanding his career in software, he served his country, graduating with honors from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, and spending several years as an officer in the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power program. After his service, he spent more than 10 years in the power generation industry. In 1982, he cofounded Engineered Software, Inc. and is a co-creator of PIPE-FLO Professional and PUMP-FLO software. Ray also contributed to the development of the Optimizing Pumping Systems Guidebook and the ISO/ASME 14414:2015 Pump System Energy Assessment. In addition, he has authored Piping System Fundamentals: The Complete Guide to Gaining a Clear Picture of Your Piping System.
