GROVELAND, Mass. (May 9, 2017) – A.W. Chesterton Company announced today the hire of Mr. Uday Karmarkar as vice president of engineering. Mr. Karmarkar will be managing engineering, research, and development activities for all of Chesterton’s product lines. “Uday is uniquely qualified to lead Chesterton’s engineering efforts and will uphold our commitment to providing innovative solutions to our customers,” notes Andrew Chesterton, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “We are very excited that Uday is joining Chesterton in this key position for the company. Uday holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree from the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering ‐ University of Akron, Ohio. He has over 18 years of industrial experience and holds several US Patents. Uday’s resume includes engineering positions at GE in the Digital Industrial Transportation business and at Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. Prior to joining Chesterton, Uday was Principal Engineer‐Chief Engineering for General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania.
