STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Atlas Copco has named Per Lindberg as CEO of Epiroc, the subsidiary Atlas Copco plans to dividend out next year. Per Lindberg is currently the President and CEO of BillerudKorsnäs AB, a leading supplier of renewable packaging materials and solutions, according to an Atlas Copco release. “Per is a strong leader with a solid industrial experience and a long track record of successfully developing companies in a competitive international environment, ” Hans Stråberg, Chair of Atlas Copco’s Board of Directors, said in a release. “The Board is pleased to have found a CEO that can position Epiroc in a professional way and further develop the business. ” In January, Atlas Copco announced plans to split the group into two individual companies. More from the release: The decision to split the company will be taken at the Annual General Meeting in April 2018. Provided shareholders agree, Atlas Copco will stay focused on industrial customers, and Epiroc, the company to be dividended out, will be a leading productivity partner for customers in mining, infrastructure and natural resources.
