Annika Berglund, Atlas Copco’s Senior Vice President Corporate Communications and Governmental Affairs, will leave her position at the end of the year. Berglund has been with the company for nearly four decades. She began her career at Atlas Copco in 1979 to work in marketing and sales before joining management in 1997 to lead the Corporate Communications department. Berglund's departure follows Atlas Copco's January 2017 announcement of a potential split of the company in 2018. The Board of Directors is expected to recommend dividing the group into two companies. Epiroc, which will be dividended out, is completing the recruitment of a SVP for Corporate Communications. The recruitment of an SVP for Atlas Copco is ongoing. According to a release, Berglund will remain with the company through 2018. “Annika is a passionate leader, living and breathing our values,” said Mats Rahmström, President and CEO. “We thank her for dedicated work over the years and for her contributions to building our strong and very successful culture.”
