Due to extensive flood damage from Hurricane Harvey and the likelihood of continued heavy rain in Houston through next week, Turbomachinery and Pump Symposia has been rescheduled for December 12-14, 2017. Answers to Your Questions from TPS: 1. What are the new dates for TPS 2017? Are parts of the event changing because of the reschedule? The new dates for TPS 2017 are Dec. 12-14, 2017 for the technical sessions and exhibition, and Dec. 11 for short courses. We anticipate that TPS will carry on as usual, but there may be changes that arise as we prepare for the December event. Delegates and exhibitors will be made aware of any such changes. 2. I’ll be at TPS in December! Do I need to update my registration? Nope! All you need to do is show up to the event and pick up your badge, as you would have in September. However, you may want to update your scheduled accommodations, including flight and hotel. 3. I have already reserved my hotel for TPS. How do I cancel or update my reservation? If you made a hotel reservation through the TPS website (tps.tamu.edu/event-info/hotels) prior to Aug. 29, 2017 and plan to attend TPS in December, your reservation will be automatically updated for the December dates. No action is needed on your part. You need only take action if you wish to cancel your reservation. Should you need to change your reservation, contact Rose Moreno after September 4, 2017 at rmoreno@visithouston.com. Rose will respond to your request as soon as possible. Your patience is appreciated as she is displaced from her Houston office at this time. If you need to make a new reservation (no December date transfers, as those are done automatically), please do so at tps.tamu.edu/event-info/hotels. 4. I can’t make the rescheduled dates. What do I do? We encourage those who cannot make the December dates to transfer their registration to TPS 2018, Sept. 18-20 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
