Chicago, IL – A group of innovative British water technology companies will showcase cutting edge water and wastewater products and services at the UK Pavilion in Chicago from October 2-4 at WEFTEC 2017, one of the largest conferences and exhibitions focused on water quality education and business opportunities. “The UK is home to a highly successful water industry – and one that is ready to respond to global opportunities,” said Michael Rosenfeld, vice consul – senior advisor for energy, environment & infrastructure with the UK’s Department for International Trade, which organized the UK Pavilion. “Offering cutting edge products and technologies as well as internationally renowned consultancy, the UK’s adaptable and innovative solutions can help to address any water-related challenge, whatever it may be in the world,” he added. Served by over 500 companies, employing nearly 80,000 people, the UK’s water and wastewater sector generates revenue of approximately £8 billion ($10.25 billion) annually, £3 billion ($3.25 billion) of it generated internationally. The UK water industry draws on decades of experience in developing integrated water resource management solutions and techniques. Its 20 water utilities invest nearly £6 billion ($7.5 billion) in assets each year and more than £5.25 billion ($6.75 billion) in services. Approximately 400 specialist engineering consultancies generate revenues of £2 billion ($2.6 billion) annually. British products, services and technologies to be showcased at the UK Pavilion include:
