SHELTON, Conn. - EAO announced that Jim Valentino has been appointed as president of EAO Corporation, EAO Olten AG’s North American subsidiary. As president, Valentino will strengthen and develop North American sales channels and local HMI System production capabilities. He succeeds Lance Scott, who served as president from 2008 – 2018. “I am excited to bring more than 28 years of experience in successfully growing companies within the electronics components industry,” Valentino said. “North America is a strategic growth region for EAO and I look forward to continue its path of success as an industry leader within its focus segments and beyond.” “Throughout my career, I have lead companies to rapid growth through strategic, customer-centric approaches. I look forward to the challenges ahead and strengthening the North American organization with a focus on adding value to existing customer relationships and developing new partnerships with differentiating solutions by increasing our internal and external channel, direct and representative sales to further position EAO as an industry leader to capitalize on the overall strength in recognition of the EAO brand.” Most recently, Valentino served as Senior Director of Sales for Beyonics Technology where he was responsible for growing contract manufacturing partners in automotive, medical and a range of industrial markets. His experience also includes Director of Sales, Automation and Control of Industrial Solutions for TE Connectivity and Director of Sales for HARTING. Valentino also served various posts with Amphenol RF, Volex, Winchester Electronics, Tyco Electronics and Nidec Motor Corporation. Valentino holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Bridgeport Engineering Institute and is a graduate of Waterbury State Technical School.
