MIDLAND, Texas — Pharma-Safe Industrial Services, a provider of health and safety solutions, announced Anita Nelson as director of training. Nelson will join the Odessa, Texas, office and will be responsible for all training services company wide. Due to the growing demand for safety training and education, the company has also opened a new training facility to better service the West Texas market. Leveraging her expansive experience and in-depth knowledge of occupational safety and health, Nelson will develop and implement high-quality training and safety solutions for clients’ health, safety and environment efforts. In addition, Nelson will also direct and facilitate dynamic training programs, communicate company-wide safety strategies and procedures and perform HSE audits. Chief Operating Officer Doug Voisin expressed confidence that Nelson’s diverse background will continue to leverage Pharma-Safe as an industry leader. “Nelson is the perfect person to run our new training facility, with more than 20 years of proven industry experience,” Voisin said. “Our goal with this facility is to be able to better support and service our customers in this demanding market more efficiently and effectively. “Anita’s experience with broad spectrum training and safety management will boost success across our company. She received a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and in Business Management. She is an Independent Safety Consultant (onshore and offshore, pipelines, terminals and refineries) and an experienced safety and environmental inspector, both onshore and offshore. Nelson has completed numerous specialized trainings including Certified OSHA General & Construction Industry Instructor (OSHA 500 & 501 Courses), CPR/First Aid-Certified-BBP/AED Train the Trainer (American Red Cross & Medic), APLM (Advanced Petroleum Land Management), and is a certified Environmental Specialist. In addition to the above credentials, Nelson is also a Licensed Practical Nurse.
