SAINT LOUIS - EASA has canceled its 2020 convention, which was set for June 14-16 in Nashville.
Here is a letter sent to prospective attendees by EASA authorities.
In these turbulent times, we are all pivoting and adjusting in response to the global pandemic. EASA is no different. The Association’s operations have continued virtually uninterrupted. However, with the uncertainty of the next several weeks and months, a difficult decision has been made.
With the health and safety of all attendees and exhibitors in mind, the EASA 2020 Convention + Solutions Expo has been canceled. We did not arrive at this decision lightly, but we strongly believe this is best given the current situation affecting EASAns worldwide. EASA Chairman Brian Larry and your Board of Directors are in agreement.
If you have already registered for the event, your fees will be refunded in full. Likewise, if you booked your room at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, your room will be canceled for you. You do not need to take any further action. We will be processing these as soon as possible, but please allow 30 to 45 days to receive your refund.
EASA is currently exploring ways to deliver some of the value you expect and deserve from your convention experience. As these plans solidify, EASA will communicate them to you.
One such opportunity will take place on June 16. Brian Beaulieu of ITR Economics, who was scheduled to present a general session during the convention, will present a webinar regarding the economic outlook. You won’t want to miss this update given the challenges facing our industry, as well as the pandemic’s global impact. This webinar will be available to all EASA members at no charge.
Stay safe and be well. We look forward to seeing you at the EASA 2021 Convention + Solutions Expo from June 27-29 in Fort Worth, Texas. And remember, look for updates on upcoming learning opportunities as we move forward!
