CHICAGO - The AHR Expo released some recent developments in its planning process for the 2021 AHR Expo in Chicago. The below includes important dates and information to make note of.
- The originally planned Show dates of January 25-27, 2021 are postponed.
- AHR Expo, ASHRAE and AHRI continue to explore the feasibility of hosting the event March 15-17, 2021, however, no final decisions have been made.
- A final decision regarding the in-person hosting of the 2021 AHR Expo will be announced on or before October 15, 2020.
Recently, the AHR Expo conducted a survey to gauge industry interest in moving the 2021 Show to March. Survey results indicate the proposed date change is preferred by nearly 80 percent of exhibitor and attendee participants. As a result, AHR Expo, along with co-sponsors ASHRAE and AHRI, have made the difficult decision to postpone the original planned January dates and focus our exploration on hosting a live event in March. While no final decisions have been made, and many factors will be considered, there is optimism as the show continues to investigate feasibility.
Additionally, both McCormick Place and Choose Chicago, an organization dedicated to bringing visitors to Chicago, recognize how vital the Show is to the city. They have expressed their support for the new March dates as well.
Even with six months ahead of us until the proposed dates in March, the AHR Expo feels it is best to make a call well ahead in consideration of the significant planning and preparation required to participate in the Show. For this reason, another announcement will be made on or before October 15th with more information and a final decision on the 2021 AHR Expo.
