GREENVILLE, S.C. – Integrated Power Services (IPS), a North American participant in the service and repair of electric motors, generators and mechanical power transmission components, has named Stuart Cheek as VP and General Manager, Hydro Generator Services, and Director of Field Services. Stuart will report directly to John Zuleger, IPS President & CEO, and join the company’s Executive Lead Team.
He joins IPS from ABB, where he most recently served as Director — Large Motors and Generators. He also held roles as ABB General Product Manager and Plant Manager — ABB Kings Mountain/Shelby Custom Motor Plants. As a 30-plus year industry veteran, Stuart has experience in quality, materials, manufacturing, engineering, production, facility management and general management.
As IPS VP and General Manager, Hydro Generator Services, Cheek will lead the company’s hydro power business across North America. He’ll have P&L responsibility, providing strategic direction and leadership to build market share, and collaborating with area general managers whose service centers work with hydro electric customers.
As Director of Field Services, Cheek will lead the IPS Field Service Design Team in its work across the network. He’ll work with IPS field service leaders on common processes, strategic pricing management and recruiting, to sustain continuous improvement and delivery of the company’s Unmatched Customer Experience.

Cheek has a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina and an AAS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He also carries a Technical Diploma in Machining from Asheville Buncombe Technical College in Asheville, NC.
