COLUMBUS, Ohio – OTC Industrial Technologies, an industrial equipment service provider and distributor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, today announced the acquisition of Premier Equipment Corporation, Inc. (PEC), a leading distributor of rotating equipment, and Premier Control Systems, LLC, a prominent design and fabrication provider of control panels.
Premier Equipment Corporation, founded as J.A. Young and Associates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1965 and later renamed in 1992, has a rich history serving the petrochemical, oil and gas industries. PEC is known for being a top-tier distributor of products, equipment and services, including rotating equipment, air compressors, blowers, pumps, cooling towers and epoxy grout. In addition to distribution, PEC offers essential preventative maintenance, repairs and downtime failure analysis through its dedicated service teams. Their expertise and commitment to quality make them a perfect fit for OTC and align perfectly with their values, creating a synergy that will benefit our customers.
Operating out of three locations in Louisiana and Texas, PEC has become integral in ensuring rotating equipment reliability for various industrial sectors. The company employs approximately 65 associates and offers a broad portfolio of solutions for the petrochemical and oil and gas industries.
In tandem with PEC, OTC has also acquired Premier Control Systems (PCS) based near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. PCS specializes in designing, fabricating, programming and installing PCL, electronic, pneumatic and electrical control panels for many customers, including those in the oilfield, electrical power and petrochemical sectors. With a team of around 20 professionals, PCS offers tailored solutions that support critical industrial applications.

The acquisition of these two businesses includes six locations across two states, significantly expanding OTC Industrial Technologies' workforce. Adding these new associates to the OTC team brings the total number of employees to more than 2,000.
