HOUSTON – DXP Enterprises, Inc. has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Pro-Seal, Inc. Founded in 1987, Pro-Seal is headquartered in Pontiac, Michigan, and operates out of two locations servicing the Great Lakes Region of the U.S. and all of Alaska.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a developer, manufacturer and supplier of precision seals, bearings and custom-molded polymer components, has promoted David Kaley to Global Segment Manager for Industrial Automation.
Kaley will be responsible for expanding Trelleborg’s presence and product offerings in Industrial Automation. Early efforts will focus on developing customer products to meet ever-increasing energy saving, performance and longevity targets.
DANVILLE, Ill. – American Event Services has announced that it has closed on the acquisition of Canariis Corporation, a privately owned manufacturer of custom UL-listed packaged HVAC, plumbing and fire-protection systems. Under terms of the agreement, Riverview, Fla.-based Canariis will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of AES under the leadership of Steven St. John, president of Canariis. St. John retains a significant ownership position in the combined companies.
Pump 101 is a basic overview of pumps and pumping theory. The course is designed to review the basic pump designs or classifications and many of their applications on where they are used. We also cover the properties of fluids and the influence of pump choice and performance. This class is designed as an introductory for many topics such as the concepts of flow and pressure, viscosity, pump construction, cavitation, NPSH and an introduction to pump performance curves.
