NEW YORK – To help strengthen the quality, value and effectiveness of manufacturing credentials in the U.S., Workcred, an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) affiliate, has released a report funded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) examining how credentials are currently used in hiring and retention practices, and how credentialing can be improved to advance the manufacturing industry.

HOUSTON – Halliburton Company announced the acquisition of Athlon Solutions, LLC, a provider of specialty water and process treatment chemicals, customized engineering solutions, and services. Athlon will become part of the Halliburton Multi-Chem business line, a provider of specialty oil field chemicals for stimulation, midstream and production customers.

ODESSA, Texas – HENDERSON, which sells and services drilling rigs and capital drilling equipment, has opened a new service center in Odessa, Texas, to expand its service capabilities.

The center serves as a spare parts warehouse and provides rig and equipment services including rebuilding and recertifying rigs, top drives, mud pumps and other drilling rig equipment.
