ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Feb. 17, 2017)—On Jan. 31, Nidec Corporation completed the acquisition of Leroy-Somer and Control Techniques, Emerson Electric’s motors, drives and electric power generation businesses, according to a statement from Nidec.

The acquisitions broaden Nidec’s motor offering and product lineup, including variable speed drives and a complete range of generators, and expand its global presence, according to the statement.

BROOKFIELD, Wisc. (Feb. 14, 2017)—Anderson Process, one of the Midwest’s leading suppliers of process equipment and services, said it has acquired Werner-Todd Pump Company, a long-standing pump distributor and service provider in the Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky regions.

Starting March 6, Werner-Todd will begin operating and conducting business under the Anderson Process name and brand, according to a statement from Anderson Process.
