WHEATON, Ill. (Feb. 21, 2012) -  In-Pipe Technology® Company, Inc. announced that licensing agreement opportunities for In-Pipe’s green sewer collection system treatment in off-shore municipal markets are now available. Based on In-Pipe’s success in the U.S. municipal wastewater market and a high level of interest from numerous offshore companies, In-Pipe Technology has developed a licensing agreement package. In-Pipe Technology currently operates in four countries outside the U.S. and is presently in discussions, under non-disclosure agreements, with several countries having interest in licensing In-Pipe Technology to address the cost and capacity issues that are common to all municipal wastewater clients.

In-Pipe Technology’s licensing agreement package includes engineering support and transfer of expertise for sludge reduction, energy reduction, fats, oils and grease (FOG) control, hydrogen sulfide odor and corrosion control and capacity increase leveraging the existing sewer collection system and wastewater treatment plant infrastructure.

“As a result of our domestic success, manufacturing and engineering improvements, there has been a significant increase in interested parties off-shore,” said John Williams, President & CEO of In-Pipe Technology. “The company is prepared to expand penetration into the international markets and is seeking the right partners.”

In-Pipe’s patented technology includes regularly adding a high concentration formulation of facultative, naturally-occurring, non-pathogenic bacteria to strategic locations throughout the sewer system in accordance with an engineered plan. This entails zero capital cost and no additional energy requirement. Performance in the collection system provides increased capacity within the plant, forestalls costly upgrades, and extends the life of the existing infrastructure.

In-Pipe Technology offers specialized technical expertise, strong customer understanding, and deep resource knowledge. Since In-Pipe uses natural, biological methods that complement the treatment plant’s own processes, In-Pipe is a sustainable solution − environmentally and economically.
