Sales will occur in multiple North American locations throughout the summer
VANCOUVER (May 17, 2012) – Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will sell a large selection of oil and gas equipment at multiple unreserved public auctions across North America in the coming months. Several key auctions include: Houston, TX (June 12 - 13); Grande Prairie, AB, Canada (June 27 - 28); and Canton & Birdsboro, PA (June 28 - 29). All auctions are open to the public—bidders can participate in the auctions in-person, online in real time at www.rbauction.com or by proxy.

"Over the next several months we will sell more than 100 pieces of pipeline equipment, 80 trenchers, 75 tanker trailers, 60 winch tractors and 20 bed trucks, as well as 50 oilfield lowboys in North America alone. Every piece of equipment will be sold on auction day to the highest bidder regardless of price—without minimum bids or reserve prices."
So far in 2012 Ritchie Bros. has sold more than 90 pipelayers, including more than 55 at its largest Canadian auction ever, held last month in Edmonton, AB (April 24 - 26, 2012). Sale highlights from the Edmonton auction included 10 Caterpillar 583H crawler pipelayers that sold for CA$300,000 each, four Caterpillar 594 crawler pipelayers that sold for CA$275,000 each and two 2007 Caterpillar 572R Series I crawler pipelayers that sold for CA$432,500 and CA$410,000 each.
HOUSTON, TX - On June 12 - 13, 2012 (starting at 8 a.m. each day), the Company will sell close to 900 equipment items and trucks during an unreserved auction in Houston, TX. Equipment highlights include more than 45 oilfield lowboys and 10 bed trucks, as well as 35 winch tractors. Other equipment highlights include 11 Caterpillar D6N LGP crawler tractors, a 2010 Caterpillar D6T LGP crawler tractor, a 2008 Caterpillar D6K crawler tractor and a great selection of cranes, including seven Link-Belt LS108H Series II crawler cranes, two Link-Belt 138H Series II crawler cranes, a 2005 Mantis 3612 18-ton crawler crane, a Manitowoc 888 Series II 230-ton crawler crane and a Krupp KMK6200 300-ton 6x6x5 all terrain crane and more.
GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB (CANADA) - On June 27 - 28, 2012 (starting at 8 a.m.), Ritchie Bros. will sell more than 500 equipment items and trucks at an unreserved auction in Grande Prairie, AB, Canada. Equipment highlights include eight Kenworth T800 tri-drive winch tractors (including four 2012 models [two of which are unused]), an unused 2012 Kenworth C500 T/A winch truck, a 2012 Kenworth C500 T/A tri-drive 45-ton boom truck, late model bed trucks (a 2007 Western Star 6900XD T/A 8x8, a 2007 Western Star 6900XD 8x4x8 AWD, a 2006 Marcep Intruder 6x6 and a 2000 Kenworth C500 10x4x10 AWD), more than 20 oilfield floats and more.
CANTON, PA - On June 28, 2012 (starting at 9 a.m.), the Company will sell more than 320 equipment items in Canton, PA as part of a complete dispersal of the pipeline division of Utility Line Services, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based company involved with transmission line construction and engineering, as well as some distribution work with utility companies in the Mid-Atlantic region.
"Nearly every piece of equipment we are selling is late model, low hour, well-maintained and ready for work—in fact, most of it is still working right now," said Mark Van Sciver, Equipment Superintendant for Utility Line Services, Inc. "We have multiple projects going right now and as each one finishes the equipment will be transported from the job site to the auction site. It's a pretty diverse selection of equipment, everything from bending machines and boring equipment to winch tractors, tools and much more. All the equipment will be cleaned and prepared for a new owner."
Equipment highlights in the auction include late model pipelayers (five 2009 Caterpillar 583T, four 2008 John Deere 700J LGP, three 2008 John Deere 650J LGP, two 2008 John Deere 850J LGP and a 2009 John Deere 1050J), crawler pipe bending machines (three 2009 CRC-Evans PB16-30), late model hydraulic excavators (11 2011 Hitachi ZX350LC-5N and four 2011 Hitachi ZX200LC-3), crawler tractors (four 2007 Caterpillar D8T and a 2010 Caterpillar D6N LGP), truck tractors (two 2011 Peterbilt 388 tri-axle) and more.
