COIMBATORE, India (March 12, 2014) – U.S.-based Flowserve Corporation has commissioned a modern pump manufacturing unit in Coimbatore, India. The expanded plant at Myleripalayam in Coimbatore would not only service its markets within India but also meet the requirements of power and oil & gas industries across the Asia-Pacific region. The new facility would have a modern pump manufacturing facility, apart from testing facilities, and comes as an addition to its existing two production blocks. The third block would have a facility to handle large complex pump packages that could weigh up to 50 tons. Tom Pajonas, Chief Operating Officer of Flowserve, said the expanded facilities at Coimbatore would enable Flowserve to meet the requirements of its clients in the region, besides facilitating expansion. Flowserve is a manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of flow control products and services.
