WILMINGTON, Mass. (Nov. 30, 2015) – Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) has acquired the business and assets of Flow Smart Inc. through its parent company Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc. Flow Smart, based in Seaford, Delaware, designs and manufactures high-purity sanitary gaskets, silicone transfer tubing and reinforced silicone hoses for the bioprocessing and pharmaceutical industries. The business will be integrated into the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG), and Lou Bongiorno, founder and president of Flow Smart, will transfer along with existing staff to the new company, Watson-Marlow Flow Smart, Inc., and continue in their roles. ”Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group have a great reputation within the biopharmaceutical market, so we are very excited about being able to tie into that network to enable greater exposure of our products to a wider audience and drive the organic sales growth,” said Lou Bongiorno, president of Flow Smart.
