ST. LOUIS (March 28, 2017) ⎯ The Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) will hold its Annual Convention and Exposition from June 25-27, 2017 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. The theme for the 2017 Convention is “Partners for Progress.”

Discussing the theme, EASA Chairman of the Board Jim Smith, noted “We are partners when we work together to give our time and volunteer. This turns into progress when we receive the rewards in return, such as becoming more profitable and successful.”

The convention will once again feature a wide-ranging program addressing current business and management issues, including:

  •  High-Profit Prospecting: The quest for leads and prospects is a never-ending battle.
  •  Why Management Must be Different in Today’s Times: The world is changing faster than we can keep up with it. Management needs to be ready for a transparent world.
  •  Economic Trends 2017 and Beyond: Business cycle phases and what they mean to you

Additionally, the convention program includes a range of technical sessions focusing on the latest ideas for improving the operation of electromechanical equipment. These topics include: 

  • Little Things That Make a Big Difference in a Service Center: cost-effective, actionable tips that will make your service center more effective.
  •  Using Variable Speed Drives to Improve Pump System Efficiency: explores practices to improve reliability while reducing operating costs.
  •  Regulatory Changes and Top Safety Issues: reviews the new safety regulations which soon become effective and the top safety issues facing the service center.

Another feature of the EASA Convention is the three-day exposition featuring manufacturers showing the latest in electric motors, drives and controls, pumps, generators, and other electromechanical equipment. The exposition features an open-floor format for attendees to talk face-to-face with companies that serve the electrical apparatus industry.
