IRVING, Texas (March 6, 2014) – Flowserve Corporation received a contract to supply tailor-made water injection and liquid transfer pumps to Sabah Shell Petroleum Company’s Malikai oilfield project. This project is based 110 kilometers (68 miles) off the coast of Sabah, Malaysia. Flowserve will also provide pumps for seawater lift, firewater, drain caisson, flare knockout drum, circulation and sump services.

LONDON (March 6, 2014) – The enhanced focus on optimizing energy consumption and minimizing pump lifecycle costs in the water and wastewater industry is boosting the adoption of smart pumps across Europe. Although smart pumps have a higher initial cost than standard pumps, they enable a reduction in the total cost of ownership by lowering maintenance and operation costs.

TORONTO (Feb. 28, 2014) – Armstrong Fluid Technology announced that Wayne Rose has been promoted to the position of Global Marketing Manager – Pumps. In his new role he assumes responsibility for the marketing of the Armstrong portfolio of pumps, Suction Guides and Flo-Trex valves on a worldwide basis, with particular emphasis on the company’s Design Envelop pump models.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Feb. 19, 2014) – The Board of Directors of Franklin Electric announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer R. Scott Trumbull will retire as Chief Executive Officer effective May 2, 2014 and that Gregg C. Sengstack has been appointed to succeed him in that role. Trumbull will remain non-executive chairman of Franklin Electric.
