MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio (Dec. 1, 2012) – BaseTek celebrated the grand opening of their newly constructed 26,000 square foot state-of-the art manufacturing plant located in Middlefield, Ohio. The new larger facility provides increased climate-controlled space for production and the opportunity to stock additional product ready for quick deliveries. BaseTek, LLC manufactures quality polymer castings for the pump and rotating equipment industries.

Parsippany, NJ (July 11, 2012) – The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has updated the 2001 edition of the ANSI/HI standard on submersible pump tests and published ANSI/HI 11.6 – 2012 Rotodynamic Submersible Pumps for Hydraulic Performance, Hydrostatic Pressure, Mechanical, and Electrical Acceptance Tests.  The updated standard applies to customer acceptance testing of submersible pumps driven by induction motors, unless otherwise agreed or specified.
 

Metso has recently received three orders for Metso DNA automation systems for greenfield waste-to-energy plants from the CNIM Group. The latest order is for the North Hykeham plant in Lincolnshire, U.K. It was preceded earlier this year by similar orders for waste-to-energy plants in Turin, Italy, and Maardu, Estonia. CNIM, the European leader in construction of waste-to-energy plants, acts as a contractor in all these projects.

MINNEAPOLIS (June 5, 2012) – Pentair, Inc. announced that Marybeth Thorsgaard has joined the company as vice president, Communications. In this role, Thorsgaard will oversee Pentair's internal and external communications, including: media relations, employee communications, executive communications, and will work closely with the Pentair leadership on government affairs.

BELOIT, Wisc. (June 7, 2012) – Fairbanks Morse Engine, an EnPro Industries company, announced that Marvin Riley has joined the company as division president, effective June 1, 2012. Mr. Riley succeeds George Whittier, who has served as president since 2009.

Prior to joining Fairbanks Morse Engine, Mr. Riley was vice president - Manufacturing for EnPro Industries, where his responsibilities included oversight of the company's global manufacturing operations.
