TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- Danfoss' new laboratory and R&D facility is now fully operational.
In June, the company celebrated the grand opening of the "Engineering Tomorrow" Application Development Center. The facility houses three fully-automated test facilities for residential and commercial air-conditiong and heat pump equipment.
The labs will also test flammable refrigerants with real-time data acquisition and performance analysis.
KYOTO, Japan -- Nidec this week announced plans to acquire an Italian commercial pump and motor manufacturer that posted €9.8 million in sales last year.
According to a Nidec release, the company will acquire a 100 percent ownership interest in LGB Elettropompe S.r.l. (“LGB”). The Padua, Italy based company was founded in 1991 and employees 41 people.
It principally manufactures pumps for commercial dishwasher and motors for convection ovens.
Asahi/America has tapped a new business development manager for its industrial piping lines in Mexico and the western U.S. region.
Alex Gambino will transition from the company's engineering department to its business development team.
According to a release, Gambino joined the company in 2007 and has held a variety of positions, including field technician and engineering manager. He will be based in Sacramento, California.
