BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 29, 2013) – AMERICAN Steel Pipe, a division of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company announced that it will expand its steel pipe operations, adding a processing facility to its North Mill. The facility will cost more than $55 million to construct. AMERICAN manufactures electric-resistance-welded (ERW) steel pipe in diameters from 10.75 to 20 inches in its South Mill, and 16 to 24 inches in its North Mill.

WASHINGTON (Oct. 25, 2013) – The Siemens Sitrans FM MAG 1100F (magnetic flow meter) has received the Food & Drug Administration’s Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) certification – necessary in the U.S. to sell into the milk and dairy market. The Sitrans FM MAG 1100F already has 3A sanitary certification and EHEDG approvals, and with the PMO certification, Siemens will now be able to sell through to OEMs, integrators and end-users in the milk and dairy segment.
