ERLANGEN, Germany (May 8, 2014) – Siemens Energy has received an order to deliver customized direct electrical heating (DEH) power supply systems for ten subsea flow lines, with an option for two additional systems. The customer is BP Exploration Limited, and all the systems are to be deployed on BP-operated Shah Deniz gas field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for the end of 2015.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (May 8, 2014) – ITT Corporation announced that it has accepted the resignation of its Industrial Process Business President Robert J. (Bob) Pagano, effective May 26. Pagano, 51, is departing ITT to become president and CEO of Watts Water Technologies.
ITT Executive Vice President Aris Chicles will have interim leadership responsibility for the IP business.
IRVING, Texas (May 7, 2014) – Flowserve Corporation announced it received multiple orders for key pumping systems for the Lichterfelde Cogeneration Power Plant. The orders were booked in the first quarter of 2014. Located in Germany, the 300-megawatt (MW) plant replaces an old coal plant. Cogeneration power plants use natural gas as a fuel and have an efficiency level almost double that of a comparable coal fired plant, resulting in significantly reduced emission levels.
LEICESTER, England (May 7, 2014) – The pump manufacturer Ruhrpumpen has chosen Trelleborg gimbal mountings for its water injection package for LNG in Gjerdrum, Norway. The package is placed on a special designed Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit from Sevan Marine, the “Sevan Voyageur.”
