EagleBurgmann announced that, as of January 1,2012, Paul van Wyk, formerly the managing director of the South African subsidiary, took over as new head of the Americas region. Mr. van Wyk joined EagleBurgmann South Africa in 1997 as sales engineer for EPC and project enterprises. Having gained his Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering he had first worked as designer and project manager, until he discovered this true calling – sales.

 

Dresser-Rand Group Inc., a global supplier of high-speed rotating equipment and service solutions, announced that it closed the previously announced acquisition of Synchrony, Inc., for approximately $50 million net of cash acquired. The agreement includes the potential for additional consideration of up to a maximum of $10 million tied to technical milestones and to business performance.

 

For the first time, comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) data reported directly from large facilities and suppliers across the country are now easily accessible to the public through EPA’s GHG Reporting Program. The 2010 GHG data includes public information from facilities in nine industry groups that directly emit large quantities of GHGs, as well as suppliers of certain fossil fuels.
