DAMMAN, Saudi Arabia -- Emerson Automation Solutions has recruited 15 Saudi nationals to their Beginners Integration Training (BIT) Program this month.
The trainees recently graduated from top universities in Saudi Arabia and the U.S. The BIT Program aims to train 15 graduates annually for full-time Emerson positions each year.

ST. LOUIS (Aug. 18, 2016)–Emerson announced it has signed an agreement to purchase the Valves & Controls business of Pentair for $3.15 billion. The complementary acquisition establishes Emerson's global presence in control, isolation, pressure relief valves and actuation as part of a larger strategy to build a broader automation portfolio, according to a statement from the company.
KYOTO, Japan (Aug. 02, 2016)—Nidec Corporation announced that its Board of Directors has approved a resolution to acquire the motors, drives and electric power generation businesses of Emerson Electric Co. For this purpose, Nidec entered into an asset and stock purchase agreement on Aug. 2, 2016 (US time). The purchase price is $1.2 billion (on a cash and debt-free enterprise value basis) and the consideration will be all cash.
