ST. LOUIS - Emerson announced it has acquired Advanced Engineering Valves (A.E. Valves), a manufacturer of innovative valve technology that helps LNG customers operate more efficiently. The transaction will enable Emerson to provide its customers with a portfolio of valves. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

KYOTO, Japan (Aug. 02, 2016)—Nidec Corporation announced that its Board of Directors has approved a resolution to acquire the motors, drives and electric power generation businesses of Emerson Electric Co. For this purpose, Nidec entered into an asset and stock purchase agreement on Aug. 2, 2016 (US time). The purchase price is $1.2 billion (on a cash and debt-free enterprise value basis) and the consideration will be all cash.

ROSEMONT, Illinois (May 24, 2016) — Appleton Group, a business unit of Emerson, announced that Harish Shinde has been appointed Vice President of Strategy and Customer Care. Shinde joined Emerson in 2011 as Director of Planning for Commercial Industrial Solutions. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Appleton Canada with responsibility for sales, marketing and operations. He will report directly to Russ Kerstetter, President of Appleton Group.

ROSEMONT, Ill. (Dec. 4, 2015) – Heather Green has been promoted to director of product marketing for Appleton Group, a division of Emerson. In this role, Green will work with product management, the engineering team and global sales for the division's brands Appleton, O-Z/Gedney and others to achieve success across multiple industries. She will report directly to Tim Graff, vice president of engineering for Appleton Group, within the engineering organization.
