HAI DUONG, Vietnam (May 29, 2016) -- Ebara Vietnam Pump Company Limited (EVPC), a group company of EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA), established a new pump plant in Hai Duong, Vietnam, and transferred its headquarters there in May 2016. EVPC built the new plant to enhance its production capacity, recognizing that it had outgrown the old plant as it expanded its operations. The new plant sits on a site area that is about 3.5 times as large as that of the former facility. The new plant produces large pumps and pumps with a variety of specifications and also has an integrated production system from the production of mold to the assembly of pumps. EBARA has maintained a branch in Vietnam for more than 20 years and has provided more than 1,000 pumps for agriculture and irrigation and for water supply/sewerage systems and flood countermeasures. When a major flood occurred in Hanoi in 2008, the pump the company provided to the Yen So pumping station in South Hanoi continued to be operated for one week and helped to contain the damage. EBARA will continue to bolster its production and supply of pumps globally.
