WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (August 4, 2014) – Sulzer announced that it completed its definitive agreement to acquire both Grayson Armature businesses, Grayson Armature Large Motor Division, Inc. and Grayson Armature Orange Texas, Inc., for a deal valued at $42 million. The closing of this acquisition, completed August 1, 2014, makes Sulzer one of the largest partners for electromechanical services in the Gulf Coast area.

(3 August 2014)—Sipchem announced the startup of the ethylene vinyl acetate and low-density polyethylene plant owned by International Polymers Company (one of Sipchem affiliates) in Jubail Industrial City. The plant will produce 200 thousand mtpa of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
