WILMINGTON, Mass. (Aug. 18, 2014) – Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) announced that it has been selected to provide PURON membrane bioreactor (MBR) modules for the upgrade of a wastewater treatment plant at a refinery in Russia. The system is designed for an average flow of 24,000 cubic meters per day (6.3M GPD), with peaks of up to 28,800 m³/d (7.6M GPD). Start-up is scheduled for 2015.

SAN FRANCISCO (Aug. 15, 2014) – In 2004, the first water system upgrade under the Water System Improvement Program (WSIP) broke ground at Summit Reservoir in San Francisco. At that time, the Programmatic Environmental Impact Report that paved the way for 23 project-related California Environmental Quality Act documents was four years away from certification. The Project Labor Agreement that helped create more than 725,000 apprentice hours was three years in the future.
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (Aug. 15, 2014) – The largest piece of the turret for Shell’s Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility has set sail from Dubai for the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in Geoje, South Korea, where the facility is under construction.
BATAVIA, N.Y. (Aug. 14, 2014) – Graham Corporation announced that it has been awarded two new orders totaling approximately $5 million. One order is for a new Graham ejector system at a U.S. oil refinery. The second order is to replace existing Graham surface condensers at a Middle East liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility. Both orders are expected to ship within nine to 12 months.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia and CALGARY, Aleberta (Aug. 14, 2014) –Wellgreen Platinum Ltd. announced an agreement with Ferus Natural Gas Fuels Inc. that advances the natural gas market in Canada’s Yukon Territory. This new partnership supports the delivery of clean liquefied natural gas (LNG) to power Wellgreen’s PGM-Nickel-Copper mining project. The site is located in the southwest region of the Yukon, and could be the first mining project in Canada powered by LNG.
