HOUSTON (June 10, 2014) – Blackhawk Specialty Tools LLC announced it has completed the acquisition of Trinity Tool Rentals LLC, including its wholly owned subsidiary Blake Manufacturing LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Blackhawk Specialty Tools LLC was founded in 2008, is headquartered in Houston and provides premium automated top drive cement heads and other related cementation products and services.

TREVOSE, Pa. (June 10, 2014) – GE’s water treatment technology will help purify water at IRPC Public Company Limited’s new combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Rayong, Thailand. GE's ZeeWeed 1500 ultrafiltration membranes, reverse osmosis (RO) and electrodeionization (EDI) technologies will be used to make high-quality demineralized water for boiler feed water and to reduce the use of chemicals.

BATAVIA, N.Y. (June 10, 2014) – Graham Corporation announced that it has been awarded three refinery orders for projects valued at approximately $8 million in total. One of the orders relates to the upgrade of a refinery in China and the other two orders are for replacement components at North American refineries. Shipments are expected to occur within the next nine to 12 months.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (June 9, 2014) — Franklin Electric Co. Inc. announced that it has acquired Bombas Leão S.A., based in Monte Azul Paulista, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bombas Leão designs, manufactures and distributes submersible groundwater pumping equipment through manufacturing facilities in Monte Azul Paulista, Teresina and a distribution facility in Recife. In 2013, Bombas Leão net revenues were approximately $30 million.

CALGARY, Alberta (June 9, 2014) – Aquatech has been awarded a contract to provide its evaporator technology for the JACOS (Japan Canada Oil Sands Ltd.) Hangingstone Expansion Project in Alberta, Canada.

Aquatech’s Vertical Tube Falling Film (VTFF) evaporator technology will be used to treat and recover more than 95 percent of the OTSG (once-through steam generator) blowdown to supply as boiler feedwater make-up for JACOS’ heavy oil production facility.

LEBANON, Ohio (June 6, 2014) — OPW announced the promotion of Dave Morrow to director of product management for its Chemical & Industrial (C&I) business unit. Prior to this appointment, Morrow was the product manager for OPW Engineered Systems, an OPW brand and the leading manufacturer of loading arm and coupling systems for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of hazardous materials.
