NEWNAN, Ga. (July 25, 2013) – Yokogawa Corporation of America announced that it is offering electric vehicle charging stations to employees at its Newnan, GA facility. ECOtality, Inc.—a leader in clean electric transportation and storage technologies—has installed two Blink® Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at Yokogawa Newnan as part of its EV Project.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Aug. 5, 2013) – AMETEK Process Instruments has been awarded a contract to supply UV process gas analyzers for the Sulfur Recovery Units (SRU) and Tail Gas Treating Units (TGTU) at the Abu Dhabi Gas Development Company’s (Al Hosn Gas) Shah Gas Field project in the United Arab Emirates. The contract is valued at approximately $4.6 million.

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland (Aug. 8, 2013) – Xylem won a contract to provide a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) pretreatment system to help ensure an uninterrupted potable water supply to Abu Dhabi Emirate and the east coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The source water in the Gulf of Oman is subject to harmful algal blooms (HABs) sometimes termed ‘red-tides’; large concentrations of potentially toxic aquatic microorganisms.

GÖTEBORG, Sweden (Aug. 14, 2013) – Scanjet has received orders from Hudong Shipyard in China to equip 5+3 38,000 dwt chemical tankers being built for Stolt-Nielsen with the SCANJET “Surveyor” Tank Management System.

The system will cover monitoring and alarm functions including radar level gauging for all tanks onboard, high-level alarms and pressure plus temperature measurement, all of which are integrated in the “Surveyor” system.
