KUZE MINAMI-KU, KYOTO, Japan (June 1, 2012) – Nidec Corporation completed the acquisition of Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali S.p.A. from HVEASI Holding, B.V. (Netherlands), a privately-owned company affiliated with Patriarch Partners, LLC. As a result, the acquired business, now consisting of the foreign companies listed below, became Nidec’s subsidiary.

The following is an outline of the companies that became Nidec’s new subsidiaries today:

FULTON, Md. (May 29, 2012) – Colfax Corporation, a diversified global manufacturing and engineering company, announced the acquisition of the 91 percent interest in Soldex S.A. held by Inversiones Breca S.A. and its affiliates. The transaction values Soldex S.A. at $235 million, including the assumption of debt.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (April 30, 2012) – IDEX Corporation acquired ERC from MH Capital Partners II, L.P. (“MH Capital”). ERC manufactures gas liquid separations and detection solutions for the life science, analytical instrumentation and clinical chemistry markets.

NEUSS, Germany (April 10, 2012) – Verder acquired the company Eltra GmbH in Neuss, Germany and its manufacturing facility ASAL sarl in Bucharest, Romania.

Eltra is a manufacturer of elemental analyzers. The equipment is partly manufactured in its own factory Asal but the design, final assembly and testing is done in the Neuss facility. The products are distributed through a worldwide network of laboratory dealers with a customer base predominantly in the steel and ceramics industry.

ST. LOUIS (March 16, 2012) – Emerson announced it has acquired Avtron Loadbank, a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality load banks and other testing systems and services for the standby power generation, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and other power equipment industries. With over 50 years of experience, Avtron Loadbank’s complete solution for testing power supply systems includes advanced data acquisition, control, and monitoring technologies.

ATLANTA (June 19, 2012) – Siemens Drive Technologies Division’s Norwood (Ohio) Motor Manufacturing Plant has been selected by the Mekorot National Water Company to produce vertical frame motors to support one of the largest water infrastructure projects in Israel since the 1960s.

Siemens global team of motor experts from Norwood and Siemens Israel collaborated to secure an order for 10, 2,600kW (3,487 hp each, Above NEMA) vertical motors, totaling approximately $2.7 million.

Umeå, Sweden (June 18, 2012) – Sorubin, a producer of “new generation” energy efficient aeration products for water treatment, has made strong inroads among global food processing companies. The world’s largest food company, Nestlé, and European seafood producer, Abba Seafood, have both recently ordered the energy-efficient Microluft aerator to treat wastewater at its production units.
