MANSFIELD, Ohio (June 3, 2014) – The Gorman-Rupp Company announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, National Pump Company (“NPC”), has completed its purchase of the business of Bayou City Pump, Inc. ("BCP") based in Houston, Texas. During 2013, BCP had approximately $16 million in revenue from sales of its products and services through its Houston, Texas headquarters and its service facility location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The terms of the asset purchase agreement are undisclosed.
MILWAUKEE (June 2, 2014) – Milwaukee Tool announced the acquisition of the Empire Level business based in Mukwonago, Wisconsin.
Empire Level is a fully integrated solutions provider in the layout and measurement product categories. Empire manufactures levels, squares, layout tools, and safety and utility tape.
MIAMI (June 2, 2014) – Abakan Inc. announced that it has increased its ownership position in its majority owned subsidiary, MesoCoat Inc., to a 87.5 percent direct and 89.9 percent direct and indirect ownership. The increase is the result of converting an additional $6.2 million in MesoCoat investment into equity and exchanging 21 percent of ownership in Powdermet for 65.3 percent of Powdermet’s shares of MesoCoat.
CHELMSFORD, Mass. (April 29, 2014) – Brooks Automation, Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Dynamic Micro Systems Semiconductor Equipment GmbH (DMS). DMS, based in Radolfzell, Germany, provides automated cleaner and stocker products for wafer and reticle carrier devices used in the global semiconductor front-end markets. The cash purchase price is approximately $31 million, subject to an adjustment for working capital at closing.
CLEVELAND, Ohio (April 22, 2014) – Avalon Precision Casting is pleased to announce completion of the acquisition of Precision Metalsmiths, Inc. (PMI). Both companies are headquartered (with manufacturing) in Cleveland, Ohio. Additional production facilities are located in Jackson, Wis. (Avalon) and Markesan, Wis. (PMI). The all-cash transaction values Victor at approximately $947 million, including the assumption of debt, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
